Another old scanned one. I really liked living in Newcastle. I looked at going back for a weekend the other day and the return train journey is about the same as a train to Belgium or France. Until the british rail system sorts out their prices I'll pick the continent.

Great picture this morning. Just think how much money has passed under some of those bridges down through the years.

It's funny I can't remember where I got this angle on the bridge from because the Millennium Bridge is the last one along the river. I suppose just down the Quayside where the river turned. I used to love catching a glimpse of the bridge between buildings as I was walking home at night though. Shame it wasn't completed by the time I left so I've yet to walk across it.

There would have been a lot of money in the North East back in the day though when the coal industry was booming. Much less so these days unfortunately.
